Blazing to Serbia was established in 2007 and since then has been involved with various F&RS and humanitarian initiatives in Serbia.

Some of their achievements include:

• The establishment of an RTC training centre at Ruma Fire Station: Serbian Firefighters visited the South Wales Fire & Rescue Service’s Training Centre and Headquarters to learn about RTC training. BTS partook in meetings and discussions with the Serbian Interior Ministry and Officials from the Sector for Emergency Management, leading up to the establishment of the RTC training centre at Ruma.
• Provision of 23 fire engines: BTS delivered appliances that have benefitted F&RS in 22 Municipalities across Serbia.
• Provision of F&RS equipment: BTS regularly delivers equipment, such as hydraulic rescue equipment, ladders, pumps, fire kit and helmets to address gaps in provision.
• Train the trainers: BTS provided core-skills training to a team of Serbian Firefighters who provide training to the beneficiaries of donated resources.
• BTS brought Serbian Firefighters to Wales to compete in the 2008 World Rescue Challenge. This enabled the Serbian delegation to compete, meet Officials from the WRO, to visit SWF&RS training centre and to then identify there was a huge training need in Serbia.

• Support for Serbia Red Cross: For 6 year BTS has worked closely with the Red Cross in Sremska Mitrovica on a number of initiatives. Projects include providing Christmas gifts to children with disabilities.

Further information about their activities can be found on their website
