FIRE AID is delighted to award honorary membership status to Mr. Cameron Black QFSM in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the fire and rescue and humanitarian aid sectors over the last 2 decades and more.

From the early days of CUEES and the Strathclyde RTC Working Group and the subsequent establishment of the World Rescue Organisation and the UK Rescue Organisation – Cameron’s guidance and input has been valued by many across the globe.

His establishment of the UKRO International Development Programme in 2002 and contribution to the leadership of the World Rescue Organisation has been recognised by many colleagues, including Bill Denny:

“Cameron is probably the only person now to have been at the origins of UKRO/CUEES and still be here after 20 odd years involvement. His contribution to the advancement and promotion of rescue is immense.”

There are many emergency service personnel across the globe better trained and equipped as a result of Cameron’s efforts, energy, and time and FIRE AID gladly honours his achievements – long may they continue.
