Our activities have been made possible by the invaluable support of the following organisations. If you would like to support us please contact us for further information.
FIRE AID was established with core funding from the UK Department for International Development (DFID) in 2014.
Since then, DFID support has enabled FIRE AID visits to Nepal, Tajikistan and Pakistan among other activities. DFID support was key to the establishment of FIRE AID and our initial development.
FIRE AID receives core funding and donations of new equipment from MSA Safety Incorporated. MSA are the global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of sophisticated safety solutions that protect people and facility infrastructures, including personal protective equipment for fire fighters.
FIRE AID receives on-going funding from our founding member the Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport (EASST) which supports the salary of FIRE AID’s only member of staff.
EASST is an independent UK-registered charity whose mission is to save lives and prevent injuries by making road transport safer, greener and more sustainable for future generations.
FIRE AID received core funding from the FIA Foundation between 2015-2020. FIRE AID’s work in the area of post-crash response is a part of the FIA’s focus on the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.
“FIRE AID is a practical and cost-effective way to transfer equipment and expertise from the UK to countries in need. It addresses the critical need to ensure early and skilled intervention to rescue crash victims.”
Saul Billingsley, Director General of the FIA Foundation.
