We are committed to reducing waste by recycling decommissioned equipment from UK fire services. Our sustainable donation programme ensures that usable equipment is repurposed and sent to communities in need, minimising environmental impact and protecting first responders.
A CIRCULAR APPROACH TO FIRE AND RESCUE
Since 2020, FIRE AID has donated over 36,000 tonnes of fire and rescue equipment, valued at more than £15 million.
By saving it from scrap, and preventing it from taking up landfill, we reduces waste, extend the life of vital resources, which avoids the environmental cost of unnecessary replacement. This equipment is actively used in communities worldwide, reaching over 50 million people and helping firefighters save lives, reduce the impact of fires, floods, and other emergencies, and strengthen local emergency response.

Help us recycle rescue equipment
If your service have fire and rescue equipment to donate, send us the details so we can assess whether it is suitable for reuse.
Please include the type of equipment, its age and quantity, and the make and model where available. We also need to know where the equipment is located and when it would be available for collection.
Once we have this information, we will assess the equipment and, if suitable, arrange collection or delivery with you.
